Ziebel’s Y-MAC (Y-Neck, Monitoring and Control) is the condition monitoring system for all types of oil field pumps. Y-MAC has teh ability to detect changes in the pump system and with the Ziebel Spectral System, provides unique advance warnings of pump anomalies. As a result, pump optimization is accurate and measurable. Y-MAC monitoring will make your pump operation more effective, easier to manage and progressively reduce problems the longer the system is operated.

In addition, Y-MAC monitoring system has numerous of advantages over competitive systems. Our system features spectral vibration analysis, has the ability to survive high imbalance and functions without a high voltage connection -- which is safer and simplifies the surface system. This ESP monitoring system can be delivered at a dramatically reduced cost versus other products on the market.

How does it work?

Y-MAC transmits data using high frequency pulse transmissions. Motor cable stray currents do not generate high frequency pulses they tend to generate low frequency or DC current. Our competitors all use low frequency or DC current to measure the downhole, so the motor stray current upsets these DC systems where Y-MAC is unaffected.

We use pulse transmissions, so the pulses are still received at the surface even when there is current to ground through the motor circuit.

Because other systems use analogue data transmission, 70% of the downhole and surface system affect the readings you get at the surface. Using our digital technology, only 10% of the system can alter sensor readings.

This means that you will get data from ESP wells reliably and more often than you would when using the Ziebel Y-MAC solution. If the pump is running, the Y-MAC will be monitoring.
