Position: Field Service Engineer

Responsibility/ tasks: The job involves field installation and troubleshooting of existing field installations of permanent downhole gauge systems, and pump monitoring systems. This work involves preparing field installation equipment, studying well completion drawings and ensuring installations whether run by Ziebel of by our worldwide partners run smoothly and without problems. The work will also involve attending field installations to either carry out installations or assist or train the crew who are installing the equipment.

We are looking for candidates with the following background:

• Experience of permanent gauge installations preferred
• Some electronics knowledge preferred
• Cased Hole Upper Completion preferred
• Competency with PC’s is important
• Oil field experience in wireline or slickline
• Some mechanical aptitude
• Oil field experience in any field would be useful

Furthermore, the ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, quick to learn, determined when solving problems and show a high standard of workmanship. Travel will be regular so the candidate should be some one who enjoys travel and adapting to working in new countries and cultures, and who will have no problems being away from the Houston base for extended periods.
