Position: Mechanical Design Engineers
Reporting to: Engineering Manager

Due to recent expansion and the acquisition of another company, Ziebel now has the opportunity to recruit Mechanical Design Engineers to join our busy teams located in Houston and Aberdeen.
Responsibility/ tasks: The responsibilites of the Mechanical Design Engineers will include but not limit to: drafting of mechanical parts using Autocad, generating production drawing packages, testing and the inspection of incoming goods, devising new mechanical tests, and inspection schemes, Input and involvement in product design work making changes to existing products and work on new design projects. You will also be involved in the preparation of product documentation including procedures and items lists and general drawings and illustrations. The job may also include pressure testing and mechanical inspection work. The job performance will be reviewed by annual reviews and also by rate of drawings produced, rejected, the problem rate at our manufacturers, and the general quality of the produced drawings.
Formal Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
- Degree in relevant subject and / or significant industry experience (Oil and Gas industry)
- Training in Autocad is required
- Knowledge or experience with electronics, and electronics packaging
- Experience of any sort of oil field downhole equipment
- Experience of electronic downhole gauges, for permanent or wireline work
- Some oil field installation and/or project management PC literate, in particular with MS office etc .
- Motivated, and interested in engineering
