Position: Production Technician

Due to recent expansion and the acquisition of another company, Ziebel now has the opportunity to recruit Production Technician to join our busy team located in Aberdeen.

Responsibility/ tasks: The duties of the Production Technician will include but not limit to: General electro-mechanical assembly and testing with a focus on electronics. Wiring soldering, surface mount boards and Processor based equipment will also be involved. Furthermore you will be responsible for the testing of electronic systems, and diagnosis of problems from board to component level.

Formal Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

• HNC/HND/Degree in Electronics Engineering and / or significant industry experience (Oil and Gas industry)
• Some knowledge or experience with artwork and schematics
• Experience of electrical wiring and PCB stuffing
• Soldering experience
• Some previous experience of oil field electronics and permanent gauges ideal
• Electronic circuit knowledge
• The right candidate must be interested in engineering and problem solving
• Be a quick learner
• A good team player
• Computer literate

Languages:

• The successful candidate must be fluent in both spoken and written English
