Fits any pipeline
3-phase measure
Simple retro-fit
Low cost
Solid State
Low maintenance

The SIMM is fitteed to any pipeline by drilling an access hole through the pipe and welding two fittings to the pipe OD.

The meter is inserted into the pipe, the electronics and end cap are fitted and it is ready for use.

Out of the box accuracy is typically within 10% and more accurate readings can be obtained by performing simple field calibration routines.

The unit will provide real time output of

Water % hold up
Oil % hold up
Gas % hold up
Water mass flow rate
Oil mass flow rate
Gas mass flow rate
Flow regime pattern

SIMM represents a significant technological advance in oil field fluid measurement.

At last the fluid in every pipeline and wellhead can easily be measured, without pressure drop or fluid separation.

The advantages of using a SIMM are many but the main ones are
- Less need for well testing with separators
- Better optimisation of reservoirs
- Fast warning of changes and problems
- Real time monitoring of water production
- Optimise well for minimum water cut
- Management of co-mingled flows

Complete SIMM system

SIMM can be installed as a simple single probe system or a dual probe with two probes spaced 1 meter apart, and fitted 30% offset. The dual probe system provides better accuracy if complex fluid flows are expected, and also reduces the effect of bends and chokes mounted near the meter.
SIMM measures the fluid type and velocity using a number of sensors mounted on the sensor rod which is inserted into the flow line. This technique provides much more information than any traditional flow meter, and means SIMM can deal with mixed or separated fluids as well as gas either separated or mixed in the produced fluids.

The high resolution on hold up means SIMM can be used to monitor changes in hold up over time with high sensitivity in the measurements.
